START e-Business Training for ArabicSpeaking Residents of Australia
Smart Teaching for Arabic Residents on Technology (START) is a training program that aims to enhance the opportunities for Arabic residents in Australia to secure employment or by proceeding further in this training, they will be able to establish and run an online business via providing computer (Information & Communication Technologies ICT) training bi-lingually in Arabic and English.
Benefits of START Training
START will enable the Arabic-speaking residents of Australia to:
- Master different Skills (Computer/ICT Skills, English Skills, Business Skills and Lifelong Learning Skills) that are needed for employment and changing business environments.
- Establish their own Online Businesses and have the various skills to succeed in their businesses – including managing their income and expenses, maintain customer contacts, present and developing & managing online shopping carts, market their services/products online.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in this START Training, you will need to be:
- Arabic-speaking resident in Australia, and
- Have basic (or higher) level of English, and
- Have basic (or higher) level of computer skills, and
- Looking for employment or willing to establish e-business (online business), and
- Have work rights in Australia

To participate in this START Training, you will need to:
- Meet the Eligibility Criteria

- Have a phone number for initial assessment phone interview.
- Provide full name and nick name.
- Read the Information Sheet & Consent Form and sign to the Electronic Consent Form.
About Trainer
Dr Amelie Hanna (PhD) has 25 Years of Academic & Professional Experience in Public & Business Administration and Information & Education Technology. Amelie is Egyptian by birth and Australian by citizenship and she speaks Arabic & English fluently. During her various postgraduate studies, Amelie has taught different subjects/topics in different schools and university departments. Amelie has received a number of awards during her professional & academic lives. Currently, Amelie is interested to teach Arabic-speaking migrants to Australia to establish their own ebusinesses.
